Technical and security data (such as IP address, device type, and session data) is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and properly functioning survey platform. Where a survey collects sensitive personal information (such as racial or ethnic origin, health data, or similar categories), we will provide clear, specific notice within the survey itself and, where required by applicable law, seek your explicit consent prior to collection of that data.

Survey data processed through the Skinny Jeans platform is stored on secure servers managed by our third-party infrastructure host. We require our hosting providers to maintain strict technical and organizational security measures to protect the application environment against unauthorized access or data loss.

Vista Grande, LLC is a U.S.-based company. If you are located outside the United States (including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland), please be aware that your survey data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
6b. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom and believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence or place of work. This U.S. State Privacy Notice ("U.S. Notice") contains information about the rights of residents in certain U.S. states which have enacted privacy legislation (each a "State Privacy Law"). This information covers our current data practices, our practice over the previous twelve months, and serves as our Notice at Collection as required under the California State Privacy Law. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information: Vista Grande does not sell your personal information to third parties, and does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and equivalent state laws. Survey results are shared with research clients only in aggregated or pseudonymized form as described in Section 4 of this policy.
Categories of Sources: We collect the personal information described above directly from you (through your survey responses and technical interaction with the survey platform) and from your panel provider (who supplies your anonymous project specific Respondent ID and routes you to the survey).
Categories of Third Parties with Whom We Share Personal Information: Research clients (aggregated or pseudonymized data only); survey infrastructure and hosting providers; cloud storage providers; data security and fraud prevention services; data analysis and reporting tools (including the Skinny Jeans platform); the panel provider (anonymous project specific Respondent ID only, for incentive fulfilment); and legal or regulatory authorities where required by law.
Retention Periods by Category: Identifiers: 24 months from project close. Demographics, Commercial Information, and Survey Responses: 24 months from project close. Internet & Network Activity: 24 months from project close. Inferences: 24 months from project close. Sensitive Personal Information: 24 months from project close, or as required by the specific research engagement. Fully anonymized and aggregated research reports: indefinitely (no longer personal data).
7a. Children’s Data
Our surveys are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13 in the United States (as defined under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA) or under the age of 16 in the European Economic Area (as defined under the GDPR). If you are a panel provider who routes minors to our surveys, you must ensure that appropriate parental consent has been obtained before doing so, in accordance with your own terms of service and applicable law. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child below the applicable age threshold, we will take prompt steps to delete it.
7b. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices, legal obligations, or business operations. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy and, where practicable, provide notice at the point of survey entry. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued participation in our surveys following any update constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised policy.
