Vista Grande, LLC – Ameritest Survey Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 17, 2026

Effective Date: March 17, 2026

1. Introduction and Who We Are

Welcome to this market research survey. This survey, along with the Skinny Jeans platform used to process its results, is legally owned by Vista Grande, LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

Because you were invited to this survey through a third-party panel provider, we want to be completely clear about how your data is handled:

  • The Panel Provider: You were invited to participate through your panel membership. Your panel membership, email address, and survey rewards are managed entirely by them under their own privacy policy.
  • The Survey Owner: Vista Grande, LLC is the creator of this specific survey and the legal Data Controller of the answers you provide within it.
  • Skinny Jeans: Our data analysis platform, owned by Vista Grande, LLC and currently operated by a contracted third-party service provider on our behalf. All data processing is conducted strictly under Vista Grande’s instructions.
  • The Hosting Platform: We use a third party service for infrastructure to host and operate this survey. They process the data on our behalf, but Vista Grande, LLC controls how the survey data is used.

2. Information We Collect:

When you take this survey, we collect the following types of information:

  • Survey Responses: Your opinions, attitudes, and behaviors as answered in the survey questions.
  • Demographic Data: Age, gender, region, or occupation, to help us categorize the survey results.
  • Data Processed via Our Application: The survey responses and pseudonymized identifiers collected during the survey process are securely transferred to and processed within the Skinny Jeans platform. Additionally, the application may automatically collect standard technical log data (such as server access times) to ensure the system is functioning securely.
  • System and Technical Information: When you click the link to enter this survey, our hosting infrastructure automatically collects certain technical data necessary to make the survey function, keep it secure, and prevent fraud. This includes:
  • Device and Browser Data: Information such as your device type (e.g., smartphone, desktop), operating system, and browser type (e.g., Chrome, Safari) to ensure the survey displays correctly on your screen.
  • Network Data: Your IP address, which is used to ensure regional accuracy and prevent multiple survey entries from the same person.
  • Survey Session Data: Temporary "session cookies" or similar essential tracking technologies used solely to remember your progress as you move from page to page within the survey. We do not use these to track your activity across other websites.
  • Timestamp and Duration: The exact time you started and finished the survey, which helps us ensure data quality and identify rushed or automated responses.
  • Respondent ID: A unique, anonymous identification id generated specifically for this survey project by the panel provider when you enter the survey. This ID is project-specific and non-persistent—it is created fresh for each individual survey and cannot be used to identify you across different surveys, link your responses to any other research project, or connect your participation in one study to any other.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely for legitimate market research purposes, including:

  • Combining your responses with those of other participants to create aggregate, statistical reports for our clients.
  • Analyzing trends and consumer behavior.
  • Ensuring the integrity and security of the survey process (e.g., detecting duplicate and fraudulent responses).
  • We utilize the Skinny Jeans platform to securely process, analyze, and aggregate your survey responses. This application helps us compile the statistical research reports that we provide to our clients.

We do not use your survey responses to sell you products, and taking this survey will not result in you receiving marketing or spam from us or our clients. We do not sell your data.

Lawful Basis for Processing: We process your survey responses on the basis of our legitimate interests in conducting market research and delivering aggregated business insights to our clients, which we have balanced against your privacy interests. Technical and security data (such as IP address, device type, and session data) is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and properly functioning survey platform. Where a survey collects sensitive personal information (such as racial or ethnic origin, health data, or similar categories), we will provide clear, specific notice within the survey itself and, where required by applicable law, seek your explicit consent prior to collection of that data.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

To operate this survey, deliver our research, and ensure you receive your appropriate incentive, we may share your information with the following categories of recipients:

  • The Panel Provider: When you complete, are disqualified from, or exit this survey, we share your anonymous Respondent ID back to the panel provider who invited you. This is done solely so they can track your participation and issue your reward or incentive. We do not share your specific survey answers with them for this purpose.
  • Our Client (The Research Sponsor): We share the results of this survey with the organization that commissioned the research. Typically, this data is shared in an aggregated format (e.g., "60% of respondents prefer Brand X"). If we share individual-level responses with the client, the data is pseudonymized (stripped of your name, email, or direct contact information) unless you have provided us with explicit consent to share your identity.
  • Third-Party Service Providers: We use trusted third-party vendors to help us operate our business and run this survey. These vendors are legally and contractually bound to protect your data and only process it according to our strict instructions. Rather than listing every vendor by name, we share data with companies in the following categories:
    • Survey infrastructure and hosting platforms (the technology used to display and run this survey).
    • Cloud storage and secure data hosting providers.
    • Data security, quality control, and fraud prevention services.
    • Data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Legal and Regulatory Authorities: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vista Grande, LLC, our respondents, or the public.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your survey responses are stored using secure, third-party infrastructure managed by our service providers. We and our providers implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the research purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law.

Survey data processed through the Skinny Jeans platform is stored on secure servers managed by our third-party infrastructure host. We require our hosting providers to maintain strict technical and organizational security measures to protect the application environment against unauthorized access or data loss.

6. Your Data Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (such as under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you have rights regarding your personal data, which may include the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your data.

How to exercise your rights:

  • For Panel & Reward Issues: If you wish to unsubscribe from survey invitations, access your panel profile, or ask about your rewards, you must contact your panel directly (where you were invited to take this survey), as we do not have access to your panel account.
  • For Survey Data Issues: Because Vista Grande only receives an anonymous survey Respondent ID from your panel provider—and does not hold your name, email address, or other directly identifying information in our survey systems—we cannot independently locate your survey record without your survey Respondent ID. To exercise your data rights (such as access, correction, or deletion), please contact your panel provider to obtain your project-specific Respondent ID for the survey in question (note: because Respondent IDs are generated fresh per project, you will need to specify which survey project your request relates to), then submit your request to us directly at contact@vistagrande.us.com with both your survey Respondent ID and the survey project reference included. We will respond to all verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 30–45 days). You may also contact your panel directly and they can relay your request to us on your behalf.

6a. International Data Transfers

Vista Grande, LLC is a U.S.-based company. If you are located outside the United States (including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland), please be aware that your survey data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

6b. Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom and believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence or place of work. A list of EU supervisory authorities is available at https://edpb.europa.eu. UK residents may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at https://ico.org.uk. We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns directly before you approach a supervisory authority, so please contact us first at contact@vistagrande.us.com.
